Remembering our dead in Kilburn

Last Friday the parish team gathered in sacred heart church to remember those who had died. The focus point was the oblate cross and the lighted candle. We invited people to send in the names of their loved ones that they would like called out. The response was amazing. The service was streamed and people joined in from their homes. A very prayerful experience. We never forget the dead, we can’t, we loved them. We have to learn to live without them.

Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to meet and greet people when they arrive at Quex Road on a weekday and assist in the general cleaning of the church when individuals leave. If you are available, please contact Christine at the back of the church Monday-Thursday.

Praying for the dead

Every Friday at 7pm the Parish Team will meet alternatively in both churches for a time of quiet prayer when we are invited to remember to pray for the dead. If you would like the name of a loved one called out during the televised programme, please call 0207 624 1701 with the name. The service is not open to the public.
